Pastor Gary Schafer received his B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 1973. He was on the university campus one night when he heard music coming from a small group of Pentecostal young people. That night he went upstairs in the Student Union Building and repented of his sins. The next night which was Halloween night, he was baptized in the lovely name of Jesus Christ. Five weeks later God filled him with the Holy Ghost. He received a ministerial calling at a church camp meeting and went to bible college in Houston Texas. Since that time he has been gifted in many of the gifts of the Spirit including deliverance, healing, miracles, and prophesy. He is also blessed with the Spirit of counsel.  He has traveled to Viet Nam, Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, Central America, Philippines, India, and Africa preaching the word and bringing deliverance and salvation. When time permits his hobbies include camping, hiking, birding, photography, swimming, motorcycling with the Azuza Street Riders, and of course spending time with his lovely wife Shelley.
